"Cottage Series"  

The Cottage Series has been developed to meet the needs of those who like the style and convenience of a pre-cut log package, but in smaller, simpler designs.

Cottage Series  kits include all materials required to complete a weather-tight durable shell from subfloor to roof.

The Cottage Series kits include precut cedar logs which are shorter in length, with minor surface defects.

The 100% precutting of exterior ALL walls and a detailed construction guide enable most "do-it-yourself" builders to complete a large portion of the unit without difficulty.

On-site construction assistance from a log home specialist is available, at additional costs if you wish.

Package Specifications

Subfloor: kiln-dried 2 x 8 joists, double box joist, three ply center beam with 3/4" OSB T&G sheathing.

Exterior Walls: "Cabin" grade milled cedar logs, precut and numbered for ease of on-site construction. All gaskets, caulking and fasteners included.

Roof System: asphalt shingles over OSB sheathing on 2 x 10 Rafters for loft models. 6/12 pitch web trusses for single level models(flat interior ceilings).

Gable Ends: single level units have log siding attached directly to gable truss, loft models have full log gable ends, precut to pitch with the log gable as first and last rafter.

Windows: are double hung, wood frame, thermal units with screens and custom installation rough-buck frames.

Exterior Doors: pre-hung steel units with hardware or sliding units per plan specifications.

Porches and Decks: 2 x 6 rafters, treated floor joists, with cedar decking, railings and posts.

Misc. Kit Materials: log siding for box joist covers. All required nails and fasteners.  Step by step clear construction manual. 4 x 8 loft support beams  included for loft models only.
